Phantom Detective Full Movie Review:
This was one of the weirdest movies I’ve seen, but I will admit that it was definitely entertaining! Like a gangster film from the 1940s mixed with Mad Max and Sherlock Holmes, it had an odd mix of styles. The story is somewhat non-nonsensical, but you can follow along as long as you don’t try to pick it apart. The found-family scene between the detective and the two young girls was the movie’s most important and most enjoyable scene. This was the best part of the movie, with comedy and touching scenes between him and the girls. A gun fight scene that was very well done and visually thrilling was the culmination of a background plot that made little sense but was visually appealing.
